Female cats help each other when they have kittens, so she’s trying to help you, since she knows you gave birth 🙂
My cousin had a cat that didn’t like people outside her immediate family. She’d bite and hide. When I was pregnant with my first baby she sat on my lap and let me pet her. My cousin and my aunt and uncle were shocked! We guessed it was because the cat knew I was pregnant and decided to be gentle. It was pretty awesome.
