Having supervised both cats and dogs giving birth before and having other animals, I was fully expecting her to attack this pup when he got too close to her babies, considering these kittens look like newborns, I am surprised how willing she is to allow this pup so near her and the babies. Clearly she trusts him. Other than the one swipe, she was totally relaxed with him. The mom treating the Puppy like it’s just her oldest child meeting all the younger kitten siblings The fact the cat lets the dog get that close to both her and her kittens is proof of the trust she has with the shepherd. Such a good relationship. I love how the GSD pupper keeps licking the cat, because she’s a familiar face and a friend, but doesn’t try the same with kitties, because he doesn’t know how they or their mom will react to it. So intelligent and caring He’s so clumsy but gentle. I loved the snoot boop and kiss to the mama cat. He promises to be careful. He also seems amazed that those little cat babies are even smaller than him. This so adorable she knows the puppy won’t hurt her or her kittens he’s just so inquisitive but she trusts him you can clearly see that, he’s so affectionate towards her and her babies so heartwarming to watch How sweet and precious!!
