When I was a kid, my cousin’s golden retriever had 12 puppies. They were living in a condo at the time, so the mother and puppies came to our house where we had a yard and 2 dogs. I was in 3rd grade at the time. I’d come home from school, run into the back yard and count the puppies and then go cruising around the neighbors’ yards to find the 2 or 3 escapees each day. Didn’t lose a single one, fortunately. Great memories.
